Looking for a short break in the Lakes? Looking for something different
'Have the time of your life' with Lakeland Llama Treks. The treks are designed to be suitable for a range of differing levels of fitness or ability over varied terrain, so there is something to suit everyone - one of our existing routes is even wheelchair and pram friendly so no one is left out! The routes can be for as little as one and a half hours walking or up to five hours over a whole day for those looking for more of a challenge.
We are particularly keen to work with disabled and disadvantaged individuals and groups and have researched and risk assessed suitable routes that are ideal for people with limited mobility or in wheelchairs.
The llamas are comfortable around wheelchairs and adapt their pace accordingly, enabling people in wheelchairs to get involved in leading for periods along the route.
We have vast experience in accessing funding to support the involvement of community groups in these innovative and effective walking for health activities and are able to help and advise with funding applications if required.
