Treehouse Parenting Support Project .
As we move into our third and final year working with Treehouse, there are some exciting projects coming up. Treehouse are running a national campaign called “Walk in our shoes”
Do you want local decision makers to experience the reality of living with Autism? Take this opportunity to show them what it is like
· Take part in an event covering eight local authorities including Poole to promote awareness and understanding in autism
· Inviting your local MP or a Councillor to spend time with your family to understand the challenges and the positive aspects of autism
· Sometime during the week beginning Monday 1 December to coincide with “International Day of Persons with Disabilities” (Wednesday 3 December)
· This opportunity is open to all parents and carers of children and young people with Autism in Poole.
TreeHouse will organise the activity for you – just let them know if you would like to take part. It can be for an hour, half a day or longer. It could include picking your child up from school, going out to the library, having tea – whatever you like
If you and your family would like to participate in this exciting event to influence local decision makers, please contact the Parent Support Project identifying your local MP or Councillors you would like to involve. We will do the rest!
